First Things First

Receiving your reservation number

Norwegian Cruise Line is NCL's new app where guests can access an array of information, pre-cruise and during the cruise.

“Norwegian Cruise Line” is NCL's app, and it offers the ability to:

  • Complete online check-in & upload documents
  • Make onboard reservations
  • Book shore excursions
  • View your itinerary
  • See payments, credits, and purchases all in one place
  • View reservation & stateroom number
  • + more!

This app is free to download, and no Wi-Fi minutes are required to use while sailing! For more info, visit Norwegian's Mobile Apps page.

NCL reservation numbers will be sent out 6-8 weeks prior to sailing. Your reservation number email will include the Latitudes number NCL has associated with your reservation. If you have sailed with NCL previously, and the Latitudes number noted in your reservation number email is incorrect, please fill out the form noted in that email so we can make sure your information is up to date!

Is it 2 weeks prior to sailing, and you still haven't received your reservation number? Contact us, and we can help. If you are calling us, please press "1" to be connected to our NCL support team.

Once you create or log into your NCL account and connect it to your reservation number, you may begin booking shore excursions to explore your ports of call, make dinner reservations for a specialty restaurant, or snag your thermal spa pass in Mandara Spa to relax and rejuvenate.

Use our schedule to help plan a time that works best for you!

Don't Forget: All guests will get Sixthman's High Five Perks!

Enjoy 50% off dining at specialty restaurants and a $50 shore excursion credit per cabin, per port. Learn more here.

Note: When dining, gratuities will also be automatically added to your check, and these are calculated on the non-discounted NCL restaurant cover charges.

Documentation Requirements

Remember, at the time of booking, your lead passenger acknowledged that the laws that regulate the necessary travel documentation are subject to change and that it is your responsibility to be aware of what is required for travel.

View the latest information from Norwegian at ncl.com/traveldocs. More information can be found regarding accepted documentation HERE

You MUST have proper identification to board the ship. While we at Sixthman are always working to provide the best experience possible, we are not the entity that reviews and approves documentation. We don't want you to miss the ship, so please come prepared!

Check in online

Check in with Norwegian

Complete online check-in beginning 21 days prior to sailing, but no later than October 22, 2026 using the Reservation Number in the email titled "Your Reservation Number Is Here!" Your Reservation Number will be sent out via email 6 to 8 weeks before sailing. Before you begin your online check-in process, here is a helpful overview

Having trouble linking your reservation number to your NCL account? Send us your Latitudes number (found in your NCL account) via email at othersideofparadiseatsea@sixthman.net so we can make sure it is correctly linked to your reservation!

Is it 2 weeks prior to sailing and you still haven't received your reservation number? Contact us and we can help.

After You've Checked In

Once everyone in your stateroom has completed online check-in with Norwegian, you can print out your eDocs. (You will not be able to print until all guests in the stateroom are checked in.) Please note that eDocs are only ready 48 hours after everyone checks in.

If your party is traveling and arriving to the terminal together, you only need to print and bring one copy of your eDocs.

This option is available on Norwegian's website up to 3 days prior to sailing.

Onboard Spending

A fixed service charge will be added to your onboard spending account in the amount of $20.00 per person per day for Interiors, Ocean Views, Balconies, and Club Balcony Suites and $25.00 per person per day for Suites.

You will have the option to pre-pay service charges ahead of sailing via your NCL account. If you prefer not to pre-pay, these charges will be applied to each guest’s onboard spending account by the last day of sailing.

Learn more HERE.

All purchases on the ship are made with your Norwegian keycard. As you complete online check-in, you will be asked to provide a method of payment for all your onboard purchases. All purchases you make on the ship will be tied to this method of payment. We recommend doing this during your online check-in!

If you prefer to wait, you may put down a method of payment or open a cash account once on board.

Seat saving is not allowed.* While it is fine to run to the bathroom or grab a drink, leaving items in seats unattended in order to save them is not permitted.

Towels left on seats will be regularly cleared by Sixthman and NCL staff. Any personal items left unattended will be collected and turned into lost and found at the NCL Guest Services desk in the Atrium (Deck 7, MID).

Things that DO NOT save a seat:

  • A towel.
  • Tipping a chair forward.
  • Your purse, backpack, notebook, or any other personal item.
  • A friend or partner saving multiple seats for others that are not present. Again, a quick bathroom trip or heading to the bar to grab a drink is FINE! Heading to a show and leaving one person to hold seats is NOT.
  • Anything other than you.

Things that do save a seat:

  • YOU!

Always feel free to ask someone from NCL to pick up towels or clear chairs of items if a Sixthman person isn't around (our staff isn't working on the pool deck when there isn't programming).

* Limited accessible seating areas are available and a Sixthman representative will be working in those areas during show times if you are in need of any assistance.

Smoking is prohibited indoors, in staterooms and balconies, as well as outdoor dining areas, and other various outdoor areas on the ship. This includes regular cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, or pipes.

Smoking is only permitted in certain areas on the Pool Deck (Deck 12&13), and outside on Deck 7, AFT. Please look for ashtrays! If there is no ashtray, it is NOT a smoking area. Smoking is also allowed in the Casino (Deck 6, FWD) during active gameplay.

Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a $250 USD cleaning charge added to your onboard account.

We were founded upon the spirit of creating safe environments for people to come together on vacation with the goal that ALL feel Invited, Welcomed, Looked After, Appreciated, and most importantly, Respected. We will not tolerate any harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, body size, appearance, age or national origin. We stand against racism, hate and associated symbols and the display of such items, including but not limited to the confederate battle flag. If you feel like you’re being harassed or discriminated against, are the victim of non-consensual touching, or otherwise feel unsafe, please report it to the nearest Sixthman or Norwegian Cruise Line staff member.

Pack your bags, baby!

Don't forget your docs!

To check in at the Port of Miami and board the ship, you must have proper documentation. Do not place these items in your checked bag. Take it with you into the cruise terminal as you'll need to present it at the check in counter. You will not be allowed to board the ship without proper documentation.

If you printed out your eDocs, have them handy when you arrive at the port. It will help speed up the check in process!

If you were unable to print your eDocs prior to embarkation day, please proceed to the port with proper documentation. You will still be able to board the ship even if you don't have your eDocs.

Tips for the Terminal

Check your bags

Lighten your load! Check your bags with a porter before you enter the cruise terminal for easy boarding.

All the luggage for your cabin may not be delivered at the same time. Please visit the Norwegian Guest Services desk if you have not received your luggage by 8:00pm ET. Be sure to keep anything you might need in your carry-on bag (passport, medicine, etc.).

Please note that curbside porters are not employees of Norwegian and it’s customary to tip them $1 per bag.

Terminal + Security

Once you arrive at the Cruise Port, look for and follow the Flogging Molly Cruise banners/flags.

You can keep your shoes on but belts and laptops will need to go into a bin for screening. Also, wine and champagne need be taken out. Just like at the airport, throw away open drink containers and empty your pockets.

Please keep in mind that anything that may look like a weapon (like a water gun) may be seized by security agents, so it's better to leave those items safely at home.

Once you've made it through the gates of the Security Gods, you'll be directed to complete your IN-PERSON check-in with NCL Port Agents.

Have your travel documents + ID (passport) in your hand when you approach the counter. You'll receive your NCL Keycard during this time.

This keycard will:

  • unlock your cabin door
  • be used to pay for purchases on the ship (with whatever payment method you've linked to your personal account)
  • be coded to show if you've purchased a beverage package
  • It will also inform you of your assigned ASSEMBLY (Muster) Station. See: "Safety Briefing" below for more info about Assembly Stations and the Mandatory Safety Briefing.

Bringing Wine?

If you brought wine or champagne, stop at the table immediately after security to pay the corkage fee.

The following corkage fees apply, per bottle, for any wine or champagne brought on board.

750 ml Bottle: $15.00 USD
1,000 ml Bottle: $20.00 USD
1,500 ml Magnum: $30.00 USD

To speed up the process of checking your wine or champagne at the port, print out this form and bring it with you. The corkage fee also applies to twist-off bottles.

General Terminal Reminders

When completing your online check in, you'll be prompted to pick a terminal arrival time. Please note: this is NOT your boarding time. After checking in at the terminal you'll find a seat and wait if boarding has not yet begun. Boarding generally begins after 11:30am once the ship is given clearance.

Please arrive at your selected time to avoid lines and overcrowding in the terminal.

Some (but not all) terminals have limited vending machines. Plan to grab breakfast before arriving; boarding may not begin until after 11:30AM.

I'm on board, now what?

Cabins

The ship's crew will make an announcement over the loudspeaker when all cabins are ready and that happens around 2:30pm.

Remember, should you choose to check your bags outside the cruise terminal, know that they may be delivered outside of your cabin as late as 8:00pm, so keep items you’ll need until then in a carry-on.

If you'd like to leave your luggage while waiting for your cabin to be ready, please visit Chin Chin Restaurant (Deck 7, MID) to drop it off.

Cash Accounts

If you choose to settle your account with cash, a minimum deposit of $150.00 USD will be required. To set up your cash account, please visit Norwegian Guest Services (located in the Atrium, Deck 7, MID) as soon as you board the ship.

Event Photos

Keep an eye out around the ship for our Sixthman photographers! They will be wearing Sixthman CREW shirts and will be snapping pics throughout your vacation. These photos will be available for digital download (for FREE!) approximately 7-10 days after disembarkation.

Our photographers are often sailing on several consecutive events so times for photo uploads may vary. Your patience is appreciated!

You will also see NCL photographers set up in different areas and walking around the ship. They will have on an NCL uniform consisting of a polo and their NCL name tag. These photos are available for purchase in the photo gallery (Deck 7, AFT) while we are sailing.

These are no longer available once we disembark the ship, so be sure to pick yours up by the final day of sailing!

Festival Schedule

You’ll pick up your Day One paper schedule when you check in at the terminal. Each morning, we’ll deliver a daily newsletter with the current day's schedule, so you’ll always know what’s coming up. If you happen to misplace your schedule, no worries, extra copies will be available at the Sixthman Guest Services desk (Deck 7, MID).

The schedule will be perforated so you can tear it off and carry it in your lanyard so you'll never miss a minute of the action. You can also check out the schedule here!

Sixthman.net/Today

Schedule updates and announcements will be posted on sixthman.net/today.

In order to access the sixthman.net/today website without paying for an onboard wifi package, you will need to be connected to the ship’s FREE WiFi Network (NCLWiFi). The user interface for getting connected to this network changes frequently, so we no longer provide screenshots of how it may appear on your device to reduce confusion or sharing outdated information.

When we are able to confirm how it will appear for your sailing, we will share screenshots of how to navigate getting connected to the ship’s FREE WiFi network before we sail or during Embarkation Day.

Miss an overhead announcement? No worries! Your Sixthman Community Experience Specialist will also post all of their announcements in Sixthman.net/today. These can be found under the "News" tab in the menu drop-down.

Important Hours

The hours for our Merch Store, Sixthman Guest Services, Friends of Bill W, and more are listed at the bottom of our schedule.

Merch

Visit our official Flogging Molly Cruise Merch Store in Azura Dining Room (Deck 6, MID).

Ship Tips

No problem! Visit Norwegian Guest Services in the Atrium (Deck 7, MID). They're open 24 hours and can replace your keycard.

Pro-tip: Norwegian's Guest Services team can also let you know your onboard spending balance at any time.

Use decks 7 and 12—you can walk all the way from the front to the back of the ship on these decks. Then take the FWD (front), MID, or AFT (back) elevators or stairs up or down.

TradeWinds boutiques are located on Deck 7, FWD. They're stocked with lots of the amenities you just can't live without.

Ring NCL's guest services desk at “00”, or call your room steward directly at the number listed by your cabin phone! They can ensure your beds are arranged to your preference.
